The M.B Avante underway

The M.B. Avante is our 32ft steel workboat, currently used for Hydrographical survey work, personnel transfer, light towage and general mooring duties. It is powered by a 180Hp Gardner that gives the boat a free running speed of 6 knots. She underwent refurbishment in 2006 and has benefited by the installation of a 4 KVA generator.

The faithful member of the fleet has returned after a mechanical refit. She has had her Gardner 6LXB engine and gearbox completely rebuilt along with new stern gear. She was re-launched on Saturday 25th February 2006 and was run round to Gravesend to enter service Monday morning. Her First job was a survey of Tate & Lyles, Silvertown.
